I attended a philosophy club recently where we discussed Heidegger. While I enjoyed the discussion when I reflected on it afterwards it made me realise CW was onto something with his dog-with-a-bone approach – the nagging question with him always: is this philosophy enabling us to live more meaningful lives. You may think this is a question more for spiritual teachers and I see the main distinction between them and philosophers in this area. Philosophy can so easily become a parlour game!
